A programme critical project to carry out various works to the pupil and staff facilities to various parts of the school, HBS undertook a major expansion of the popular and successful gym facility on site at UCS. This work required the relocation of the on-site Costa Coffee café to a new home within the existing 6th form block.

Works included the careful relocation of the Costa Coffee counter and all equipment into newly refurbished space. New mechanical and electrical works were required to ensure the facility was installed correctly. Both the expanded gym area and the new café were fully fitted out to the highest specification and standard of work.

Other work included a full refurbishment of staff common and work space areas along with the governors board room, headmasters office and several classrooms.

The key to the success of the project was down to the project delivery team making decisive decisions on a day to day basis: a full time experienced site manager, an on-site estate bursar representing the school directly and a HBS project manager procuring the works effectively.

Programmes and budgets were hit and the school started the September term in their completed new facilities.
