HBS were directly engaged as principal contractors by London Borough of Havering Technical Services to carry out a complete refurbishment of one of the play areas at Parsonage Farm Primary School in Rainham, Essex.

The project was potentially problematic as it was to be fully completed within a 6 week summer holiday closure. As with many education establishments this is a particularly busy period. HBS project managed and were responsible for stripping out the existing surfacing and installing the rubber crumb play area , canopy, pallisade fencing and associated landscaping.

Prior to the refurbishment HBS operatives transferred several trees and shrubs from the designated area in addition to taking up the existing paving and fencing in preparation for the new play facility. The HBS project management team completed decoration works to the building in addition to overseeing the very specific build programme and budget. The project was completed within the time frame despite being only one of many education contracts being undertaken simultaneously by HBS over the summer recess.
