HBS have recently completed works for Thames Water at the Mogden Sewage Treatment Works in Isleworth, West London. The project, which continued through the Covid-19 lockdown, was authorised by Defra as essential works to ensure Thames Water’s services continue unhindered. The HBS project team adhered strictly to the government’s guidelines on hygiene and health and safety whilst on site.

The £150k project on the site’s maintenance garage, involved the removal and disposal of an asbestos roof and replacing with a metal composite sheet roof along with new roof lights and roller shutters.

The Mogden site is one of the largest sewage works in the UK and treats the waste from about 1.9 million people. James Brett, HBS Project Director commented, “We’re very proud to have been able to carry out these essential works for Thames Water during these challenging times and our team did a great job having to work under the current restrictions.”
