HBS have completed works at Cleary House in London, on behalf of The Wellcome Trust. The building, which consists of 10 apartments, had previously been vacant for two years. The Wellcome Trust decided to fully restore and refurbish the property to maximise future rental income.

The scope of HBS’s work included full external restoration with access scaffolding to the front and rear, a new 20-year Proteus liquid roofing system, stone and brick restoration, making good of windows with a resin-care repair system and redecoration to all previously painted areas in matching Dulux specification.

Internal restoration consisted of works to the common parts, including stripping out and replacing the lift, installation of a new fire and door entry system, new service risers, replacement of gas pipework, new front doors, flooring and decoration. All works ensured that the building complied with the latest fire regulations.

Works to the apartments included replacement of flooring, bathrooms and kitchens, installation of new central heating and electrical systems and redecoration.
