Clearwater Court, the headquarters of our client Thames Water, is located in Reading and provides five floors of office space. A failure in the rooftop air conditioning (AC) chillers that was caused by a single inadequate pump installed in 1999, instead of the required two, was initially overlooked. This design flaw has placed excessive strain on the system, and over time, adjustments to the Trend Building Management System (BMS) created long-term operational challenges. Restoring optimal functionality required resetting and recalibrating over 300 coil units.

Our work on the project included replacing the two rooftop AC chillers, installing a new pumping system, upgrading the piping, and implementing a new BMS to improve control and efficiency.
