Internal building fit-out and refurbishment of historic 19th century building
Founded in 2008, the Central Film School has provided students from all over the world the tools needed to become professionals in the film industry. The school required a new home and decided to move to an historic 19th century building located between Brixton and Clapham North, previously tenanted by the Italia Conte Dance School.
We were appointed by our long-standing client Fabrix to carry out the £800k fast-track fit-out that would enable the Central Film School to move in at the start of the new term in September, following the departure of the previous tenant at the end of June.
With such an ambitious scheme it was imperative that all our work was meticulously programmed during the 10-week project window. Working with project managers Opera, our schedule included refurbishment of toilets, extensive mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades, door upgrades, fire alarm installation, decoration, and new flooring.
The result of our work provided significant improvements to all areas of the building along with delivery of the required building regulation compliance. Our team’s efforts ensured the project was completed on time for the school to move in before the commencement of term and we wish them every success in their new home!
