HBS were appointed via a competitive tender process by the residents committee at Carlisle Mansions to complete the proposed restoration works.

HBS were heavily involved with the design and value engineering of the scheme to ensure the proposed restoration works were appropriate. The previous restoration of the facades were completed very poorly and in places the building was potentially dangerous.

HBS were appointed to sympathetically and lovingly restore the internal areas, front elevation façade and rear elevations of this beautiful Victorian property which required specialist trades on all areas of the project.

The internal works required specialist techniques and skills to provide the highest standards of decorations and carpeting along with lighting replacement.

Externally the front and rear facades were completely restored. HBS employed the necessary skilled tradesmen to carry out stone and brick restoration, replacement, cleaning and redecoration. Sash windows were replaced, restored, overhauled and redecorated. The stone and brickwork was cleaned using the specialist DOFF system. Slate and lead roofs were restored and replaced.

The entire terrace has been restored to its former glory and now sits proudly alongside its neighbours in the heart of Victorian London.
