As part of our £5 million project at Mowlem Trading Estate to refurbish three terraces of warehouse units, we have undertaken work to improve, strengthen and stabilise the warehouse floors after they experienced significant subsidence.

To achieve this, we have worked with ground stabilising specialists Geobear whose system provides the new tenants vastly improved floor load-bearing capacity. For the landlord the warehouse floors are guaranteed to achieve a minimum strength, galvanising and insuring the value of their asset.

Given the level of contaminated ground on the site, the Geobear solution also delivered a cost-effective and less disruptive alternative to piling. When the strengthening work was completed the floors were screeded to provide a pristine, level surface.
