We have recently commenced work on the £4 million refurbishment programme for Thames Water at the Power House and associated buildings at Deephams Sewage Treatment Works in North London, one of their most strategically significant operational sites.

Running over a 12-month programme, the HBS team will be delivering a complex, high-risk refurbishment project within a fully live sewage treatment environment, without disrupting critical pumping operations.

The scope of our works includes large-scale refurbishment of multiple flat roof areas and the replacement of extensive rooflight runs, with crash decks installed beneath rooflight zones to protect live plant and operatives below. Upgrading of roof drainage systems alongside the installation of new edge protection, access systems and permanent safety measures. External works also incorporate masonry repairs and façade refurbishment to improve the integrity and longevity of the Power House envelope.

Internally, the works comprise concrete repairs and the application of protective coatings, replacement of ceiling and wall cladding systems, phased internal decoration, window replacements and sealing works, structural repairs to rear elevations, and the removal and replacement of rooflight control systems. We have carefully sequenced all works to maintain continuous pumping operations and safeguard critical infrastructure throughout the length of the contract.
