HBS are pleased to announce that they have been awarded the contract for the cyclical external restoration and redecoration of Havering Town Hall in Romford, Essex.

The building, located in the heart of the market town, was built in 1935 as Romford Town Hall. The Grade II listed building was designed by architects H R Collins and A E O Geens in the International Moderne style and extended by three bays to the south west in 1960, in matching style and materials.

Works are due to commence in the summer of 2017 and scheduled for 12 weeks. HBS Project Director Andrew Pratt commented “HBS have a long and successful relationship with Havering Council, so we are delighted to be carrying out these works for them on one of their landmark buildings.”
