Camelford House is an imposing seventeen storey building located on the Thames embankment, adjacent to the MI6 building and close to Vauxhall Bridge. The area, which is undergoing extensive regeneration, is now an attractive riverside destination. The building is owned by Thames Water and managed by Savills.

We have recently been appointed by our long-standing client Thames Water to carry out the full roof replacement on the 10th and 17th floors to meet the latest building regulations with SBEM calculations after obtaining special permission from the neighbouring MI6 authorities.

The initial works have involved providing access, with the installation of passenger and materials lift hoists and a Haki staircase to provide safe and efficient temporary access and egress for the workforce.

The roof replacement works will include the removal of the existing roofing system and installation of a new Vapour Control Layer (VCL), 80mm of PIR insulation and the application of a cold-applied liquid roofing system that provides a 20-year insurance guarantee. Additional ancillary works include replacing all CAT ladders and handrailing with Thames Water compliant systems.
